Step Features

Balloon Position Set your instruction balloons for your Walk-Thru in different locations on the website.

Timing Options Customize the amount of time you would like to delay and display your step during the Walk-Thru playback.

Skippable Allow your users to skip steps without harming the Walk-Thru process.

Advanced Settings Set your Walk-Thru to seek out specific UI elements associated with a specific step according to specific parameters.

Step Triggers

In order to support any possible business process, the WalkMe Editor delivers a set of step triggers, which allows you to specify when a step is finished and when it is time to advance to the next step. In each step, you should set the step trigger according to the business process itself.

Element clicked

This will add a "Next" button to the step. The Walk-Thru will advance upon clicking on the "Next" button. If this step is the last step, the "Next" button will be replaced with a "Done" button.

Click "Next"

This will add a "Next" button to the step. The Walk-Thru will advance upon clicking on the "Next" button. If this step is the last step, the "Next" button will be replaced with a "Done" button

Key pressed

The Walk-Thru will advance when the end-user types any characters into the element to which this balloon is attached. This should usually be used for text boxes and forms.

Element hovered

The Walk-Thru will advance to the next step once the end user hovers over an element which this step is attached. This is usually used for hover menus. Please note that in hover menus, the second step should generally be attached to a specific item in the menu.

Simultaneous Balloons

This will show the next balloon simultaneously with the current balloon (usually used for highlighting or for splits).

Refresh or Redirect

The Walk-Thru will advance upon each page refresh or page redirection. After-Page Change: this will show the balloon hint after a new page has loaded.

Time Duration

The Walk-Thru will advance after a set period of time (in seconds).
