What is the Gartner® Market Guide for Digital Adoption Platforms?

The 2022 Gartner® Market Guide for Digital Adoption Platforms details how DAP providers, like WalkMe, help organizations increase productivity, boost employee engagement, and drive digital ROI.

Gartner predicts that:

By 2025, 70% of organizations will use digital adoption platforms across the entire technology stack to overcome still insufficient application user experiences”.

This forecast comes a few short months after WalkMe’s 2022 State of Digital Adoption report found that 67% of enterprises are under “incredible pressure” to accelerate digital transformation. With 2025 but a few years away, DAPs are set to become a leading tool in managing and boosting digital transformation efforts.

Key findings

DAPs accelerate digital transformation.

DAPs support digital transformation by boosting digital dexterity, digital adoption, and employee engagement with data-driven insights, .

An enterprise-wide approach is the way to go.

Most organizations evaluating DAPs plan to deploy it on between one to three complex applications initially, and expand as they demonstrate their ROI over time. However, DAPs full value is only realized when implemented holistically.

DAPs provide insight into how employees work.

The adoption of digital platforms allows organizations to plan change management programs in a more strategic way than ever before with data-driven insights. Moreover, they can monitor progress and adapt their strategy as needed.

The tech market is contracting, but the DAP market is growing.

There are currently 40 recognized players in the DAP market, including complete enterprise DAP platforms to app-specific service vendors. 2021 market revenues stood at approximately $441.5 million, which is significant considering that the tech market has slowed its growth in recent years.
