Today, we announced that SAP has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire WalkMe. For those of you that have not seen the press release, you can find it here

As is typical for such transactions, the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including obtaining WalkMe shareholder approval and the necessary regulatory clearances.

Our mission since the day we launched WalkMe has been clear; to transform the way people interact with technology. Since then, with the help of our technology, GTM and service partners, we’ve helped thousands of customers navigate the change brought on by digital transformation. And with AI transformation at our doorsteps, companies need a digital adoption platform more than ever to ensure all their people are using the full capabilities of GenAI to transform the way they work.

By pairing WalkMe with SAP’s extensive ecosystem and vast product suite, we can accelerate this mission and offer customers an end-to-end solution for transforming their businesses to achieve the full promise of GenAI — from applications, to processes, to data, to people

What this means for our customers.

  • Both WalkMe and SAP remain committed to supporting our customers, across all applications — SAP and non-SAP. The account management, customer success, services and support teams you’re already working with will not change as a result of this acquisition.
  • We will continue to grow and develop the DAP category. Expect continued investment in our roadmap, including the launch of our new GenAI offering, WalkMeX at Realize ‘24 on June 18th. The DAP Professional community you’ve helped us build over the past decade remains important to us, and we will continue investing in it.

Most importantly, we’re confident that joining forces will help our customers realize the promise of digital and AI transformation in ways that neither SAP nor WalkMe could do alone. We’re excited about the initial ideas that have surfaced, and I can’t wait to share more details as they materialize.

We see this transaction as an incredible validation of the opportunity DAP represents for businesses and the careers of DAP Professionals. While it will involve a change in ownership once finalized, one thing that won’t change is our mission to transform the way people interact with technology. That means doubling down on our commitment to the DAP category, and holding steadfast to our values

Thanks for trusting us to help your companies, your people and your customers navigate change. We look forward to navigating this next chapter of change together.
