The WalkMe M&A task force scanned diligently through dozens of technologies before identifying Abbi as a market leader and it continues this search to speed up  the execution of its vision.

Founded in 2015, Abbi raised $1 million from TheTime and Taya Ventures, and won industry awards from The Israeli Mobile Summit, GSMA Mobile World Congress Shanghai and All Things Data Israel. As part of the acquisition, Abbi’s key executives and founders, Maor Ezer, Kobi Stok and Yonatan Deshel will lead WalkMe’s mobile go-to-market strategy.

“We founded Abbi to solve a real pain that we as app developers personally felt. We decided to leverage machine learning to understand user behavior and increase in-app engagement with ease.” said Kobi Stok, Co-Founder & CTO of Abbi. “WalkMe paved the way for successfully dealing with the challenges of user adoption. The opportunity of combining Abbi with WalkMe’s proven success and its clear mission and vision to deliver an unprecedented comprehensive platform for digital adoption, is perfect for us,” Said Maor Ezer, Co-Founder and CEO of Abbi.

“Last June WalkMe announced a $50 million funding round, part of which was earmarked for rapid growth and development of the company’s technology and platform,” said WalkMe President Rephael Sweary. “The Abbi acquisition represents one step in which we are executing on this intent. The Abbi team built a versatile and flexible platform for mobile engagement that together with WalkMe delivers prediction based automated technology that learns and understands user behavior and builds contextualized mobile app experiences.”
