Gil Wiener, DeepUI Solutions Engineering Manager
When I joined WalkMe, I was making a big leap, moving from four years in the alternative investment industry with degrees in Business and Law into an entirely new world: tech. I had no background in engineering or software, but after taking a series of relevant courses, I felt ready to shift directions.
WalkMe took a chance on me, bringing me on as a DeepUI Solution Engineer, and that opportunity truly changed the trajectory of my career.

Finding my footing
In that first role, I focused heavily on log analysis and content performance, helping ensure WalkMe’s product worked seamlessly for our customers. It was all new to me, but I was eager to learn. Over time, I moved into a Team Lead position, and eventually into my current role as Group Manager, where I now lead a global team.
As I’ve grown, so has the scope of my work. I’ve gone from tactical execution to strategic leadership. Today, I focus on cross-functional collaboration, mentorship, and driving innovation across our product and internal operations, especially through the integration of Generative AI.
Defining moments
Stepping into group leadership has been a defining milestone. It has allowed me to scale the team, develop future leaders, and contribute to WalkMe’s broader product strategy in a meaningful way.
One project I’m especially proud of was automating a time-consuming, manual process that was slowing us down. What started as a challenge quickly became an opportunity to think bigger. By streamlining workflows and implementing the right tools, we significantly expanded our team’s capacity and freed people to focus on more strategic work. It was a powerful reminder of the impact of zooming out, spotting inefficiencies, and solving creatively.
A culture that encourages growth
WalkMe has supported my career every step of the way: through technical training, leadership development, mentorship, and most importantly, the freedom to explore and innovate. My managers and senior leaders have consistently encouraged me to take risks, pursue new ideas, and grow into each role with confidence.
What’s kept me here for five years? The people. I work alongside incredibly smart, thoughtful, and driven colleagues who challenge and inspire me daily. I also feel truly seen and supported, from peers to executives, and that kind of culture is rare.
Looking ahead
In the next 5 to 10 years, I see myself stepping further into senior leadership, helping shape long-term strategy and scaling global programs with real impact. I’m especially passionate about mentoring others and embedding AI and automation into how we operate. Not just to move faster, but to work smarter and better.
What keeps me motivated every day is the variety. No two days are the same. There are always new challenges, new opportunities, and the chance to grow and make an impact.
How would I sum up my WalkMe journey? A dynamic evolution marked by continuous learning, impactful leadership, and a deep commitment to innovation and growth.
