The end result is disappointing for higher-ups and frustrating for employees.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WalkMe\u2019s Director of Strategy and Analyst Relations, <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ofir-bloch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ofir Bloch<\/a> found Digital Adoption Solutions listed in Gartner\u2019s new report: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.walkme.com\/knowledge\/redefine-productivity\/?camp=TL-Redefine-Productivity-Gartner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Getting Value From Employee Productivity Monitoring Technologies for Remote and Office-Based Worker*<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The research on productivity monitoring is extremely relevant to WalkMe\u2019s questioning of how productivity itself is traditionally measured, and why it needs to be redefined in a remote work reality.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cThe concept of productivity is highly context-specific. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to quantify.\u201d<\/strong> &#8211; <em>Gartner<\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So now that remote work is becoming a fixture of regular business life, how can leaders accurately assess the productivity of their organizations? And how can they ensure that they do so successfully?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The complete user journey across all applications is the key<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is where leaders need to \u201czoom-out\u201d in order to get the full picture. Trying to piece together all of the data from individual application usage data will be both tedious and incomplete. The remote employee as the user is navigating multiple apps, many times to complete a single process. The process from beginning to end needs to be assessed in order to understand if it was a productive amount of time and effort on the part of the employee, and ultimately the company.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.walkme.com\/knowledge\/redefine-productivity\/?camp=TL-Redefine-Productivity-Gartner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Gartner report<\/a> carefully assesses various technologies used to monitor productivity.
